You will need to communicate well with customers, have great negotiation and persuasive skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Resolve and assist customers wth inbound telephonic and email queries and requests
- Selling, upselling, & cross selling to prospective UK clients
- Achieve and exceed predetermined sales targets
- Identify and overcome objections and respond to questions
- Follow up on voicemails received and initial contacts that request call backs
- After-sales information and advice
Education and Experience
- Matric / Grade 12 (Maths / Maths Lit and Accounting required)
- Customer service skills and experience with ability to sell
- Minimum 6 – 12 months Call Centre Experience
- Sales ability within a Call centre or Retail sales within upmarket Retail environment
- Must be available to work shifted hours from – subsidised transport offered after 7pm
- Proficient in relevant computer applications (Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Fluency in English & an excellent command of English (neutral accent) is vital
- Good communication and listening skills
- Proven track record in sales

• Maintain optimal operational efficiencies based on productivity measures
• Adapt and change to fit in with changing business operational requirements
• Resolve complaints and objections
• Build and maintain good client relationships
• Managing information regarding new products, rate changes, rulings, training updates etc.
• Keep abreast of developments and trends in the Industry – self learning
• Ensure commitment to the FAIS Fit & Proper qualification requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12 qualification
• 1 – 2 years’ experience within a Sales Outbound Call Centre, or at least 2 years’ face to face sales experience (with targets attached to the sales)
• Financial services experience (advantageous)
• RE Exam Advantageous
• 30 FAIS Credits – Advantageous (Short-term Insurance)
• Good understanding of Financial Services Industry related legislation and regulation
• Understanding of sales processes and servicing industry
• Outbound Sales experience is required
• Fluency in English and one other South African official language
• A clear criminal and credit record
• Commitment to the FAIS Act and meeting Fit & Proper qualification requirements
• Willingness to work overtime.
