Purpose of the Job:

To ensure that people are paid correctly and on time.

Technical Competencies & Experience:

  • Min 3 years’ in a payroll office performing all payroll functions
  • Preparation & processing monthly payroll for at least 136 employees
  • Strong understanding of flow of transactions in integrated & automated payroll accounting system
  • Sage People Payroll - advantageous
  • MS Office & Internet Explorer
  • Capturing new employees, leave, terminations & checking of claim
  • Review & ensure accuracy of approved advances, travel & overtime claims
  • Responsible for coordination between payroll & human resources
  • Handle admin of Biometric system
  • Maintain employee records
  • Generating reports for payments e.g. PAYE returns & other third parties
  • Maintain proper document control system
  • Keep abreast with company policies & tax legislations that impact remuneration 
  • Prepare reporting integrating to the financial system
  • Communicate payroll changes to FM on time
