Business Developer - Education

Sales and Marketing, Gauteng Sandton

R 300 000 - R 400 000 Annually

My Client is currently looking to bring in young and driven Business Developers in order to acquire new clients, with a specific focus on signing up learners, schools and tutor centres to their online supplementary products.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Build an individual sales strategy that is aligned to my clients business strategy and the strategy of the Business Development Team

  • Execute sales strategy according to agreed timelines and objectives

  • Generate leads through research, personal network and new market opportunities

  • Acquire relevant clients in line with agreed targets and KPI’s

  • By means of telephone and/or email, contact local and international sales leads generated by my clients digital marketing efforts in order to sell the business’s products

  • Manage the relationship with key clients, partners and resellers

  • Attend client and business development events as and when needed

  • Ensure regular reporting on business development progress

  • Partner with the Business Development Team to meet team targets

  • Ensure a seamless client onboarding experience while working closely with the Operations and Client Support teams

  • Maintain the my clients brand promise’s in all engagements with potential and existing clients, ensuring a quality and unique client experience is delivered consistently

  • Partner closely with the internal Marketing Team to ensure alignment of strategies and maximum leverage

  • Gain client experience insight and channel it into the business to influence change

  • Manage timelines, expectations and relationships with all stakeholders

  • Stay abreast of global market trends and their competitors in order to speak about the industry and differentiate my clients value proposition.

     

     

    Requirements

     

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales and client relationship management role

  • Relevant business qualification (degree or diploma)

  • Existing school or tutor centre network (preferred)

  • Experience working within the education and/or EdTech industry, (preferred)

  • Strong & assertive sales ability

  • Ability to persuade and influence

  • Proven sales and client acquisition track record

  • Ability to network and collaborate internally and externally

  • Good verbal, negotiation and written communication skills

  • Well-developed presentation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to individuals at all levels

  • Strong attention to detail and administrative skills

  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines

  • Excellent leadership, organisational and multi-tasking skills

  • Resourceful, team player, high energy and flexible

  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment

  • Thrive in an environment that frequently questions and challenges
