New Business Development Specialist - FMCG

Sales and Marketing, Gauteng JHB - Eastern Suburbs

R 400000 - R 500000 Annually

Our client within the Retail industry is looking for an experience New Business Development Specialist (FMCG) to join their dynamic team based on the East of Johannesburg.

Purpose of the role: 

  • To assist in identifying and generating business opportunities, ensuring growth and sustainability.
  • To assist in preparing brand strategies for potential and existing clients; managing internal stakeholders for commercials, design and operational requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Marketing or Business Management Degree or Equivalent Qualification
  • 3-5 years’ experience in sales, marketing, new business development, client management or advertising 

The candidate should be:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following but not be limited to:

  • Research industry sectors
  • Generate sales leads by identifying target clients and/or relevant contacts
  • Conduct industry and client networking
  • Prepare and present credentials and proposals
  • Assist with the preparation of detailed and robust project plan
  • Coordinate support from service departments and operational teams
  • Provide client engagement to instill confidence
  • Provide a strong launch platform for sustained business growth
  • Actively build, grow strong relationships with Clients
  • Present new services and solutions to enhance existing relationships
  • Prepare and present powerful, persuasive sales presentations that effectively demonstrate the value proposition being offered
  • Determine and manage client needs and expectations
  • Work with technical staff and internal stakeholders to meet customer needs
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
  • Demonstrate consistent application of internal procedures
  • Plan and prioritise, demonstrating abilities to manage competing demands
  • Demonstrate abilities to anticipate and manage change
