We are looking for a REGIONAL MANAGER with hands-on retail experience.


  • Manage Regional revenue and GP targets
  • Ensuring profitability of stores in region by continued analysis of trading performance of all stores
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide findings to the executive team
  • Meetings with Area Managers to review and drive performance
  • Ensure all stores within region meet visual merchandising standards
  • Develop and execute turnaround plans for underperforming stores.
  • Recommend/implement changes to improve store experience (products, trading hours, promos etc)
  • Responding to escalated customer complaints
  • Oversee Stock Management I.e. Stock control, Stock outs and Stock counts
  • Effective leadership, coaching and succession and development plans of managers and store teams
  • Ensuring adequate number of staffs per store
  • Conducting performance assessments and development discussions with Area Managers
  • Managing poor performance across all relevant levels
  • New site locations
  • Discussions with landlords on promotional initiatives or support
  • Monitoring relationships with suppliers
  • Cost Management
  • Store Visits



  • Matric with a Retail related qualification
  • Valid SA Driver’s license
  • At least 5 years Leadership/Management experience in managing multiple area managers. Proven ability to lead and influence a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills, have a passion for people and customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, pressure environment and have the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Passionate about animals
  • Needs to be able to travel – including nationally
