The main purpose of this role is to lead the work that enables a “smart modern Company with unquestionable integrity that can be trusted and admired”. The aim of this role is to lead and conceptualize the technology solution that supports the modernization of the Company. Working closely with the enterprise data management, technology service delivery and future talent development teams to inform enterprise strategy and the development of new business models by utilizing the disruptive nature of various technologies to improve the organization. The Chief Technology Innovation Officer role falls within the Design Enablement cluster

Minimum
Qualification Experience Required
Relevant Honours Postgraduate Diploma (NQF 8) AND 12- 15 years' exper ience in a technology or similar environment, of which 4- 6 years in a leadership role.
ALTERNATIVE
Relevant Bachelor's Degree Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) AND 15 -18 years related experience

PEOPLE
Performance Management of staff for effective Employee Engagement Performance Excellence.
Engagement with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective management of interdependencies.

PROCESSES GOVERNANCE
Fulfilling the role of Chief Technology Innovator within the organisation.
Integral contributor to the shaping of enterprise strategy.
Facilitates a culture and system of innovation throughout the organization.
Synthesizes the insights and modeling from data science with the emerging capability that technology provides to imagine, conceptualize and shape a technology driven enterprise the smart modern Company
Advise on the interface between innovation and the rest of the organization to ensure seamless on boarding of new business solutions.

FINANCIAL
Prepares Business Unit Resource plan.

Accountable for the effective husbanding of all financial and material resources within the Business Unit.

Has an enterprise wide resource steward mindset
