The main purpose of the role is to provide overall leadership to translate Company Vision 2024 and Strategic Intent by ensuring an integrated organisational approach in fostering strategic partnerships, collaboration and cooperation with regard to international relations with tax related entities. The Head of International Cooperation role is positioned within the Office of the Executive

The main purpose of the role is to provide overall leadership to translate Company Vision 2024 and Strategic Intent by ensuring an integrated organisational approach in fostering strategic partnerships, collaboration and cooperation with regard to international relations with tax related entities. 

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Relevant Master’s or Honours ( Postgraduate Diploma (NQF 8) AND 12- 15 years'
experience in relationship and partnership building from a large public or cooperate environment or similar, of which 4-6 years at leadership level. Established international relationships in Tax, Customs and related multi lateral institutions will be a distinct advantage.

ALTERNATIVE
Relevant Bachelor's Degree Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) AND 15- 18 years related experience

PEOPLE
Performance Management of staff for effective Employee Engagement & Performance Excellence.
Engagement with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective management of interdependencies.
Strong orientation in matters of Diplomacy and relevant Protocol

PROCESS AND GOVERNANCE
Lead the development and implementation of the international relations and strategic partnership strategies, processes, policies and procedures.
Expanding Company’s bilateral and multilateral cooperation with revenue authorities worldwide to the benefit of South Africa and the African continent at large as well as Trading partners.
Playing an active role to influence Company's strategic and tactical decision-making including ensuring appropriate representation in international forums.
Working with our international partners to support combating fiscal evasion and contribute towards protecting the South African revenue base.

Oversee research into local and International practices and trends to identify best practice & business solutions to meet the changing needs of Company
Define and influence relationships and service level agreements made with internal and external stakeholders.

FINANCIAL
Prepares Business Unit Resource plan.
Accountable for the effective husbanding of all financial and material resources within the Business Unit.
Complies with all requirements of PFMA and relevant Treasury and Company policies and regulations.
