A Leading Chemical Manufacturing Company has a 2 month contract position for a Management Accountant available.

Job Description 

The client is seeking a dynamic Management Accountant to join their finance team. The candidate will work closely with the Financial Manager on all financial aspects of the business, providing business support and relevant reports which provide useful information to management to assist them in planning, organizing and controlling the efficient running of the organization.

This role will be responsible for for managing the compilation of the monthly management accounts and annual budgets, and assistance with external audit for the RSA Division. This includes co-ordinating with staff, business units and managers to ensure monthly deadlines are met by planning time efficiently. The Management Accountant will play a major role in ensuring financial information flow and maintaining relationships with the Division’s business units, as well as with the Group office. The Management Accountant is expected to analyse figures, make the necessary enquiries and report or action thereon.


  • Minimum CIMA or newly qualified CA


  • Completed and signed off articles, CIMA or CA route.


  • Perform variance analysis on income/expenses and ensure adequate reasons have been obtained regarding significant variances.
  • Analyse the monthly sales margin reports and investigate.
  • Query management with business unit managers and business unit admin managers.
  • Maintain and foster good working relationships and interfaces with the Group office, business units and other divisions Responsible for annual budget preparation managers.
  • Responsible for annual budget preparation.
  • Preparation of ad hoc reports.

Job Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles and processes.
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Good understanding of core business principles and processes.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict.
  • Highly computer literate.
