Administrator: Risk & Compliance (Sourcing division)

They are seeking to appoint a Risk & Compliance Administrator to support the Sourcing division, on a fixed term contract basis (12 months).

The Risk and Compliance Administrator is responsible for:

  • Assisting the compliance officers in executing the functions of due diligence, Know Your Customer (KYC), on boarding, and extended due diligence research regarding customers.
  • Ensuring that the various compliance documents, risk registers and expiry diaries are up to date in terms of the LBMA guidelines and other relevant legislation (e.g. Prevention of Organised Crime Act, 121 of 1998 and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 38 of 2001).
  • Ensuring that all information handled and stored by the Sourcing Department meets the requirements of the POPI Act.
Essential qualifications and skills:
  • Legal & Compliance degree or similar
  • 2 years working experience in the KYC/ AML environment
  • Good administration skills and knowledge of document management systems and tools on various platforms
  • Basic knowledge of Precious Metals Act, FICA and the POPI Act
  • Understanding of LBMA guidelines.

This role is a key critical function in the Sourcing department as it deals with the on-boarding of customers from a due diligence perspective. The role is a fixed term contract, based in East Gauteng.
