Company based in Sandton seeks an Accountant - Candidates MUST be available immediately as this is a 3 month contract assignment.

Must Have:

  • Grade 12 is essential
  • Degree or National Diploma in Accounting
  • 5 years’ experience in an Accountant role / Completed SAIPA Articles 
  • Computer/Technical Skills
  • Must be computer literate
  • Proficient with: Advanced Ms Excel and Pastel Evolution 

Duties entail:

  • Department revenue reconciliations to Management Accounts/Manager reports
  • Intercompany reconciliation and processing o Divisional company
  • GL recons on all Balance sheet accounts
  • Prepayments
  • Accruals
  • Assets
  • Deposits
  • Sundry liabilities
  • Debtors/Creditors o Recons of Ageing to TB
  • Review of Debtors/Creditors recons
  • Assist with Recons when required
  •  Bank Recons
  • fixed Assets
  • Processing journals
  • Payroll Recons
  • ARS submission
  • Petty cash sport checks
  • Petty cash recons review
  • Forex Petty cash box/Manage and reconcile
  • Forex gains/loss recon
  • Processing petrol cards transactions for staff and calculate business vs private
  • Processing cell phone transactions for staff and calculate business vs private
  • Review credit card processing batch
  • Assist with Audits (Internal/External)
  • Audit file preparation
  • Liaise with auditors
  • Load/Review  payments on business online banking  
  • Daily cashflow to management
  • COS reports
  • Back up for other team members/Adhock tasks as required
  • Review foreign supplier files and sign off for processing
  • Foreign suppliers payments
  • Adhoc  as required
  • Review of Monthly expenses sheet
  • credit note reports monthly
  • Assist with drafting Management accounts
  • Income statement
  • Balance sheet
  • SARS o VAT recons
  • VAT submissions on E-filling  and VAT audits
  • Stock recons o FIFO on Hardware
  • Average weighted cost on parts
  • Assist with Budgeting process
  • Review of batches processed when needed
  • Creating templates where needed
  • Managing ad hoc projects
