R 20 000 - R 25 000 Monthly

A company based in Kempton Park is looking for a Payroll Administrator who is willing to take on a maternity contract. Experience working VIP People or SAGE 300 People or People 300 or SAGE VIP 300 People in not negotiable. This is a minimum requirement.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the end to end processing of the payroll for about 150 - 300 staff
  • Submissions of Vat, PAYE and Payroll administration In-depth experience of SAGE 300 People
  • Calculation, payment and reconciliation of payroll tax and group tax
  • Time and attendance systems knowledge (ERS)
  • Vast Knowledge of payroll and tax legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Capture monthly payroll reports 
  • Accurate capturing and updating of all deductions, leave day, absent days, hours, cost, and balance of employee salary.
  • Perform monthly payroll processes such as updating reports, checking and reconciling, etc. 
  • Maintain and update employee records, terminations and enrollments
  • Maintain HR documents and internal databases.
  • Address HR-related questions or issues within the organization (Assist Drivers with General Queries)
  • UIF / uFiling Administration
  • Request and processing of Tax Directives
  • Control the issuing of IRP5/IT3(A) certificates
  • General data processing and administration services to the company
  • Handle payroll related queries where appropriate
  • Manage and verify that all statutory deductions are accurate and correct, including but not limited to; PAYE, UIF/ COIDA/ SDL/ Provident Fund and Risk Cover 
  • Prepares monthly statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances; summarizing data, information, and trends.
  • Review of information received for payroll with regards to completeness, accuracy and authorization

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Matric
  • HR/ Payroll Diploma/ Certificate or other related qualification
  • SAGE People 300 experience non-negotiable
  • Vast knowledge of Tax /SARs returns 
  • Extensive knowledge of time management systems 
  • HR Management background in HR policies and Labour related matters
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Payroll Officer 
  • Drivers license
