Qualification

Certificate/Diploma relating to Human Resources or similar

Excellent command of English language

Previous experience in a similar role

Knowledge and principles of Human Resources Practices

Knowledge and experience on SAGE HR system or similar

Excellent ability in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

Drivers licence essential  

 

Description of position

To provide a full HR administration service to the HR department and to internal and external customers.  This role is a mixture of HR and administration and daily duties including assisting in the company’s recruitment process, liaising with recruitment agencies, administering HR documentation, setting up interviews and various other HR related administration.

Technical/ Functional Requirements

2 – 3 Years’ experience in a Human Resource Office Administration

Knowledge of South African laws and HR compliance and regulations

An understanding of and insight into the BCEA, LRA, OHS, EE, POPI, SDL and B-BBEE

Able to work independently and on own initiative within guidelines

Well-developed interpersonal skills and able to deal with colleagues at all levels

Able to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive information

Construction Industry experience would be advantageous 

 

General Duties and Responsibilities

Perform general administration duties of HR

To provide administrative support to the recruitment process

Placing of advertisements

Liaising with recruitment agencies

Managing candidate correspondence including invitation to interviews

Preparation of shortlisting

Prepare all required pre-employment checks

Ensure starter paperwork is completed and forwarded to payroll

To assist with student recruitment

To maintain appropriate confidentiality of information relating to the company and its employees

To support the HR Director with the development and implementation of projects as required

To assist with the preparation of documentation required for B-BBEE Audits for relevant company’s Maintaining skills databases monthly of all training that has taken place

Assistance with the booking and arrangements of various Travel related requirements (Flights, Car rental, Accommodation, etc.)

Must have strong system administration experience
